We are looking for a volunteer to fill the role of Researcher – Applications Evaluator, who will be carrying out project activities, working with application data, finding and reviewing applicants worldwide, etc.

You are a proactive, detail oriented, self-starter and a team player. You work well with others in furthering the applications processing and overall goals of WAFA. You report to the Research Team Leader.

Your tasks:

  • Collect and analyze data
  • Seek sustainable projects worldwide
  • Guide and help applicants during the application process
  • Evaluate and shortlist received applicants

Your education:

  • Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in scientific field in areas of environment, water, food or air

Your experience and skills

  • Experience in writing scientific reports
  • Ability to read and criticize scientific reports
  • Ability to maintain an accurate database of relevant information
  • Strong skills in working with research data
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Accurate, detail-oriented and responsible
  • Ability to plan activities and meet deadlines
  • Computer knowledge: MS Office
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of any other language is an advantage

You will be working remotely and require access to a computer with fast internet connection. Regular Skype meetings with the WAFA area managers are required.

It goes without saying that you enjoy working with people and are a team player, and that you are self-driven and well-organized.

We are looking for two volunteers to fill in this role. Your work will be from home via Internet, therefore your country of location can be worldwide.

We would like our new Researcher-Applications Evaluator to start as soon as possible, therefore we are recruiting on an ongoing basis and have no deadline for applications. You can expect a response from our HR Manager, Mrs. Astghik Hovhannisyan, within a week of submission.
